Team Lesotho

Team Lesotho was established on 17 Oct., 2018, by 5 SME Management Consultants with the aim to contribute to regional development through business activities.
The Team has been inspired by Mr. Chiaki Ito, CEO of Sign Create Corporation in Hamamatsu, Japan, who has a long-time relationship with the Kingdom of Lesotho and is passionate about local/regional development.

SME Management Consultant

A Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Consultant (hereinafter referred to as a “SME Management Consultant”) is an expert who provides advice to address the management issues of small and medium-sized enterprises. The SME Management Consultant system is based on the “Small and Medium Business Support Act” and “Regulations concerning the registration and examination of SME Management Consultant.” The SME Management Consulant is registered by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.

The Land:
The Kingdom of Lesotho, which is surrounded by the Republic of South Africa, is located in the mountainous area (including the Drakensberg Mountains) with an altitude of 1,500 m to 3,000 m. It is a landlocked country which is called the “Kingdom in the Sky” or “Switzerland in Africa”.

National Flag:
Based on the white Basotho hat (one of the traditional Soto costumes) on a blue background, blue symbolizes the sky and rain, white symbolizes peace, and green symbolizes the national land.

Tourism:
In the Kingdom of Lesotho, pony trekking (the pony of Lesotho is famous for its mild temper and ease of ride) around the Maletsunyane Falls, which boasts the highest single drop (192 m) in southern Africa. The 4×4 Mountain Trek through rocky mountains also has become very popular in recent years, especially among Western tourists.
Lesotho, which has mountains of 3,000 m, has snow in winter, especially in the eastern part, and there is a full-scale ski resort with lifts and accommodations. There is a pub on Sani Pass (elevation 2,874 m). It is said that that pub is at the highest point in Africa.
